I purchased this 8pc set and could not be happier with it. As others have mentioned the knives are super sharp. My wife cut herself washing one the first time we used them. Their design is clean and contemporary and matches our other silverware nicely. Given the wide price range of steak knives I'd say these offer very high end quality at a good value.

Special Edition Steak Knife Set - J.A. Henckels will contribute $5.00 from sale of each set to Save Our Strength (SOS) to help fight hunger within the United States.Packed in a beautiful wood storage box, the eight knives in this set slice steaks, chops, or roasts and, because they're stainless steel, they match stainless-steel flatware at the dinner table. The knives have 4-inch blades cleverly angled to prevent wrist strain while applying maximum pressure. The edges are serrated so they do tend to tear meat fibers rather than slicing cleanly through them as straight-edge steak knives do. Stamped from high-carbon stainless steel, the knives have 18/10 stainless-steel handles and are dishwasher-safe. The storage box is heirloom quality, with a glowing, deep-auburn mahogany finish. Knives rest in wood slots at an angle that makes them easy to retrieve. The box measures 15 inches long, 5 inches wide, and 1-3/4 inches deep and has brass clasps.
