I really like this bread knife. It is a large size and feels good in my hands. It is good for slicing a variety of breads. I espeically like the way it doesn't tear loaf breads like banana and zucchini. It is good for delicate quick breads like scones and it works easily on hard rolls. I am pleased with this purchase and I do recommend Henckels products.

I bought this Henckels bread knife in 2002 and it's still my favorite bread knife. I have no trouble slicing through bread with it. It feels solid in the hand and it's as lovely now as it was back when it was new.Customer Review: Good bread knife

After reading other reviews about this knife, I decided to purchase it. I'm very pleased with the knife. It is stout, study, and has a good weight and feel in the hands. Also, it goes right through bread, neatly slicing it without any tearing and without leaving excessive crumbs. Naturally, I've had the best luck on loaves that have cooled somewhat before slicing begins, but the knife didn't do a half-bad job on bread right out of the oven.Be very careful with this knife if you leave it down in the sink in dishwater though! It's just as sharp on fingers as it is on bread!!
This bread knife is a great buy for its quality. I'd buy it again!

I had never used a bread knife before I purchased this as an addition to my kitchen. I was very pleasantly surprised at the ease that this knife cut through loaf of crusty sun dried tomato bread. Just the right texture to increase the surface so toasting really works well, without an excess of crumbs. And the price was excellent.Customer Review: Great Value

This knife is a great value for a bread knife. You get a premium name knife company knife, given this is not the same blade/handle as the premium level from this brand but is a great value. Its sharp and slices bread and cakes very well. I do a lot of baking and this knife works very well for slicing cakes in half for layered frosting.
I prefer to buy less expensive serrated knives because they are a pain to sharpen and its a waste to buy an expensive one to have to toss it when dull.
