Customer Review: Doesn't cut straight and annoying serrated edge

We bought this knife set as our first "real" cutlery set after we got married... To its credit, its lasted two years, but they haven't been great. The blades don't cut straight, they cut more like a blade thats only been sharpened on one side. The serrated edges make it impossible to sharpen them, and they chunk-up anything soft you try to cut. Essentially we've have to keep our old knives as a backup to these. The rusting is our own fault for putting them in the dishwasher, though they stand up surprisingly well to it. The money would have been better spent on a much better knife set that would last longer and be less aggravating.

Formed of contoured, almost cushy santoprene instead of polypropylene, Plus handles are handsomely-backed with brushed stainless steel for added leverage and a sleek, contemporary look. Everedge Plus knives are well-suited to small hands and also help reduce tiredness when a large amount of food preparation is required. The molded handles are quite comfortable and resist breakage. While not precision-ground or hand-honed, the stainless-steel blades nevertheless slice and chop with ease. Each features a different serration depending upon its function.
