I purchased this based on previous reviews and am not disappointed. Works great, solid, fits in my drawer with ease, fits all my knives. I find it extremely easy to pick up and re-insert my knives in this unit. I bought this as wanted to declutter my new granite countertops and I am not dissapointed. Best of all, no ugly dust collecting butcher block on the counter.

Instead of storing your knives in a block, keep them in your kitchen drawer. This wood tray holds 12 knives plus your sharpening steel. Great for kitchens with limited countertop space..An alternative to a countertop knife block, this wood tray stores 12 knives and a sharpening steel in a drawer where they are conveniently at hand and their blades are protected from nicks. The tray is cleverly designed in two levels so all handles point in the same direction. The top level holds six knives with blades up to 5 inches and can also be used to store steak knives. The bottom level holds blades up to 10 inches long. The sharpener slot is large enough for a 10-inch tool. Measuring 17 inches long, 9 inches wide, and 2 inches deep, the tray fits most kitchen drawers. --Fred Brack
