Customer Review: 2nd fan bc of accountability but hate remote

4 stars: This is my 2nd fan and I was happy with the first so i bought the 2nd to replace a bionaire one that stopped working. It seems most of these fans have about a years worth of life. I had a bionaire one and it got to the point that it would turn off if it rotated too far, not sure why but it would just stop after a certain point. So i was happy with my first honeywell and after prob trying and going through 5-6 different ones from target to amazon, i figured if it aint breakin don't fix it. So being able to at least be happy with this model stopped the pursuit for the perfect model bc there are so many bad ones out there...and if you go to certain sites you can put in target prices and they will get back to you if it drops...recently saw it somewhere for $35.
The remote is horrible, being as you have to cycle down to get to low after turning on, and you have to cycle through the oscillating modes to get it to turn...I don't use the ionizer (at least on purpose)as i have no real idea that it actually does something. I like the fact that the "filter which is just a screen" is easy to get to and you can rinse it off in the shower and wait a bit to dry. It's maybe a little loud if you are using it where you sleep, but i am so used to the sound of it, it doesn't bother me.
So best ive found, including for the price checking and dependable for a while.
