Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of TravelRest - The Travel Pillow Reinvented - BlueCustomer Review: Comfortable enough but still no sleep :( Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these for a transatlantic flight for both my husband and myself. The pillow does provide relatively comfortable support for your head. I've never like the around the neck support.
I was hoping to be able to sleep on the plane with these but even with these, no success.
We'll definitely try them in the car and with our kids too. I will probably continue to take these on long plane rides - just won't be counting on sleeping.
Customer Review: Comfortable, Easy to Use - Love this pillow Summary: 5 Stars
I've traveled by plane, boat, car, train - you name it and the one thing that's the same every time is that I can not rest or get comfortable while traveling. This pillow has changed that. It's super easy to use and is so comfortable. It blows up quickly and the little inflation spout is different than other pillows or inflatables - it doesn't let air out and is very easy to close fast. It has a tether that can go around a chair (perfect for flights or train rides) that's easy to tighten and loosen. Because it's connected to the chair back it doesn't move. My head doesn't fall off of it and it doesn't fall off of my shoulder. And because it's a long "swoop" shape, it crosses over my torso and lets me lean into it - kind of like a body pillow on a bed. This pillow is soft and feels good against my cheek, too. It deflates quickly and snaps right onto my luggage so that I can put it away really fast before I even get off the plane. When I was stuck in the airport b/c of weather and couldn't find a seat, I even slung the pillow's cord around my torso (like a messenger bag) and was comfortable sleeping upright against a wall. Great pillow!
Customer Review: Comfortable, but looks dumb Summary: 4 Stars
I took this on my last trip: 20,000 miles roundtrip on 10 flights. Two red-eyes on the way there and one red-eye on the way back. When I used it, it worked well. And it helped me a lot on one flight where the emergency exit was too cold to lean against comfortably. But I felt so stupid setting it up that I didn't use it that much. It was really nice in the car on the way to the airport. I'll bring it with me again, and I'll definitely use it in the car, but I'm not sure it's worth the price, about double a normal inflatable neck pillow.
Customer Review: Comfy Summary: 4 Stars
Took this on a 16 hour flight recently. It was really comfortable once I got it all blown up and situated. I will definitely use it again.
Customer Review: Convenient and does the job Summary: 4 Stars
I'm one of those plane travelers who just can't keep her head up once I fall asleep. The result? A stiff and painful neck for at least one day of my trip. I've used a U-shaped pillow and it worked okay, but this pillow is much better. First, it packs well. You can literally roll it up and snap it to the handle of your luggage. Second, its shape allows you to hold onto the pillow so it's very easy to maneuver for comfort. The only thing is that you have to remember that this is an inflatable pillow, so it's not going to be as comfortable as sleeping with a real pillow. But it does do the job. Use this baby and your head won't be falling to one side or the other. No more stiff neck issues. I slept virtually all the way to Paris from New York (about 7 hours). When I woke up, my neck was fine. Also, the customer service at TravelRest is top notch. Really. My pillow arrived defective, so I called TravelRest. In addition to having someone address and solve my problem, I also got a few tips on using the pillow, like the different ways to use the pillow and the recommendation to try it out before I get on the plane so I'm not figuring out how to use it while I'm in my seat. Anyhow, TravelRest replaced the defective pillow. The new one arrived about 2 days later. If you like to sleep on planes but always wake up with a neck problem, this is the pillow for you. Even if you don't travel that much, this pillow is still worth the cost because it allows you to hop off the plane and straight into your vacation or business trip. No time wasted on trying to loosen up your neck. I'd definitely recommend.
