Customer Review: Best travel pillow for me so far!

I have tried LOTS of travel pillows and have found most of them lacking. This was a pleasant surprise. I read many of the reviews here on Amazon, so I already had some ideas on how to make this pillow work for me. It was very helpful that it's very small when rolled up deflated. Inflation takes me more than two puffs, but it's easy to do. In the past I always hoped for a window seat or leaned, somewhat uncomfortably for both of us, on my husband's shoulder to snooze. With the Travelrest pillow I have been able to get restful sleep in much longer blocks of time without intruding on anyone else's space (or leaning against a cold window). It's quick to put away when it's time to get ready to land and small enough to put down beside my leg if it's time to lower the tray table.
For me, this is the best of its type that I have tried- and believe me- I've tried a lot!
PS- Delivery was speedy, too.....

I do a fair amount of traveling that involves long flights (7-22hrs), so I have been searching for something that can make these long hauls more bearable and this is definitely it. I have tried every version of those awful U-pillows but with no luck. Every one I've had, I would end up just falling over onto the stranger next to me. This comma-shaped pillow really saved my neck and I actually got some sleep! Since most modern airplanes have personal TVs on the seat back, I had to wear this guitar style. The large top allowed me to lean over more like a natural sleeping position rather than a 90 degree neck-bending like the u-pillows. The the strap looped through the seat belt held me in place as to not fall over. The added cross pillow was nice to wrap my arms around like a body pillow for even more comfort and support. The pillow itself is also very easy to inflate and rolls up nicely when deflated. If you travel a lot and hate neck pain this is the pillow for you. It may be a bit pricey but it is absolutely worth it.Customer Review: Better than a sweater

I used this on two red-eye flights and found it to be helpful. I had some difficulty getting it as full as I wanted, and the air moved a bit depending on how I was sitting, but it did definitely help me get some rest.Customer Review: Better than the around-the-neck pillows

I think the TravelRest Pillow is OK. It is definitely better than those pillows that go around your neck.
It is very easy to inflate and very easy to pack with your carry on bags.
I found if inflated fully, it was too big for my liking. I let out some air and it was more comfortable for me. I also turned it upside down at times. The skinnier side was more comfortable for me. At times, I even leaned forward in my seat, folded the pillow in half, rested it on the tray table and rested my head on it, it was a good height for that.
Basically, I rarely used it as it as shown in the picture, but it still worked for me, better than the around the neck pillows.
I would not call this a miracle pillow though, and it was way more expensive than it should have been.

I read the reviews and was very impressed, so I bought the pillow via amazon. I was really hoping this would help with my long international flights. Unfortunately after trying the pillow I had two problems. First, it does not provide as much support as advertised even if you're able to position it properly. Second, the nylon cord slips. There is no way this pillow will hold your weight unless you're sitting in a window seat and jam it between the window and the seat.
