I bought two of these to use camping. Solid design. Buried them in a cooler with ice, beer, etc. No broken eggs, even though we had to do some rough off-roading to get to camp. The eggs I buy are organic/medium size. The lid is a bit too tall for these. To remedy this,I folded two paper towels the long way and put them between the eggs and the lid. Cheap and easy "calibration." I definitely recommend these to anyone who takes eggs camping.
