Customer Review: A Truly Magnificent Pitcher (But I Paid $9.99 and Free Shipping!)

When I unpacked this excellent pitcher and held in my hand, I was overcome with emotion. Finally, a one gallon pitcher that is exquisitely made, brilliantly designed, and takes up little space in the refrigerator. I have searched so long for something of this kind and was encouraged by the well deserved excellent reviews here on Amazon. My only concern is that this pitcher is manufactured in China and I dearly hope it does not contain dangerous chemicals and contaminants. I worry particularly about the health of my three young children and the news is full of reports detailing poisons of all kinds being found in Chinese products. I hope Lock and Lock has tested these pitchers and deemed them safe for human use. That being expressed, I find the convenience, ease of use, and excellence of this pitcher overrides any concerns I may have regarding possible health dangers. This pitcher is simply too wonderful not to use simply because there might be some consequences. It fulfills a need I have had for many years and while I am disappointed it is not of American origin, it remains a magificent pitcher and a design triumph which lacks flaws of any kind that I have so far determined. I will highly recommend this superb item to everyone I know and as far as potential poisoning, I will be optimistic and hope for the best. So far, I have observed no negative effects on the health of my children or myself.
UPDATE: What's with the ridiculously high price now? Came back to buy another one and WOW! There is no way this pitcher is worth $35 plus $10 shipping! What the hooey happened in One Month???
