This product deserves all the 5-stars others have given. I have nothing more significant to add, other than saying that in general, I don't endorse plastic products, but if you must choose plastic for some reason, this is the one to invest in. It is superior in quality to anything else out there in the market.
I do have this set, and use it to pack cut fruit/salad for lunch, but I don't pack any hot food in plastic. After 6 months of use and dishwasher cleaning, it still looks new.
Highly recommend.

After just one time of using the microwave to heat the contents of my Lock and Lock container, I immediately noticed the microwave did the exact same thing to this high-price container as it does to the cheap ones . . . melts the interior plastic. I had hoped the harder material would stand up better to the heating element but I was sadly disappointed. I will not be using my Lock and Lock in the microwave again and will go back to my trusted CorningWare.Customer Review: Excellent Quality, Perfect Size

This product is absolutely fantastic, Solid, practicable and of very good quality. I have bought these in all sizes. I have put them in the dishwasher and have seriously abused them...and still they are in perfect state. I recommend you buy them and see. You will not buy any other brand ever again. This size is ideal for single servings and is my favorite freezer container for items with a lot of liquid, like soups or chopped tomatoes. In the case of tomatoes, it is just the right size to hold the equivalent of one 11 oz. can. I prefer buying local tomatoes in season as well as using what comes from my garden, chopping or pureeing them and freezing them for chili, stews and soups throughout the rest of the year. I stack them in the freezer in these nice containers, where they not only keep extremely well, they are easy to defrost and add to the pot when I need them.
Freezing liquid-y things is a challenge because most plastic containers are very hard to open when frozen, sometimes the tops even break. These do the job beautifully. I've even been known to dunk the whole frozen unit in a bowl of hot water in the sink or under hot running water to loosen the contents, then take the top off and empty the frozen block right into the pot on the stove. Because the containers don't leak with the tops on, I don't have to carefully submerge just the base in the hot water. Works great for the cook in a hurry--as fast as opening a can, but fresher tasting and healthier.
