I was concerned that for the price this might look cheap. I didnt have to worry. This is product is copper-plated steel, nevertheless, it is very well made, and attractive pot rack. It shows off my nice cookware and utensil just beautifully. Everyone who sees it remarks how nice it is. Just remember that your pots & pans do weigh a lot, so be sure the ceiling hooks are firmy anchored into solid wood. In my case, in order to have the rack located where it needed to be, hubby had to put in extra support. He did a nice job, so it looks like part of the design. Forget paying the price for solid copper...the finish on this is so perfect, no one will ever know the difference unless you tell them!
03/28/09 Update: Often, over time, products become worn, or shabby looking, and lose their initial luster. I am very pleased to report that this pot rack is as lovely today as when it was installed over 2 years ago. I had expected some wear marks at the spots that the hooks are placed, since they do move or slide as items are removed or put back. However, so far, the finish is holding up just fine. I'm sure it will continue impressing my friends for a very long time.
