I bought this pot a year ago; I really do like it a lot, and use it often even though the pot and lid are pretty heavy. It heats nicely and evenly on my "uneven" electric stove burners. The handles do stay cool for cooking, not sure about baking. I was later pleased to note that Cook's Illustrated is also pleased with Gourmet Standard cookware. ONE drawback - made in CHINA.
