I bought these knives a little over a year ago when I bought my first house. If you NEED a full set of knives and you can live with not-so-sharp knives, because you are not much of a cook then buy these knives. I looked at a lot of reviews before buying knives. In no way am I a professional cook but I needed something to do the job. I ended up getting these and so far the knives are great, they work well and look great. My only complaint is about the block, the slots are a little slopping and don't hold the knives all that great.
I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a great knife set at a great price.

I got these knives 4 days ago. I was hesitant at first to buy them because i always seem to wind up with junk. I read the reviews on here and decided to take a chance. The Steak knives are AWESOME! I got some steak in the supermarket tonight and these knives cut through this steak like a hot knife through butter! Effortlessly! I seriosuly sat at my table seeing how thin i could slice each piece, having fun with how well they really did cut. I really enjoy when i have a quality item that does what it advertises. I bought this set last week and, of course, received it quickly with free shipping. I love the knives, which are really, really sharp and look great. I have been washing them by hand, so I don't expect to have an issue with rusting. When I opened the package of knives I was disappointed that the Ginsu name plate on the block was loose and fell off. Low expectations began to set in until I actually used the knives. The weight and contour of the knives make them easy to handle and they cut beautifully.
