I teach college and have a tassimo for my office. I keep an assortment of coffee, tea, cappuccinos, and the Suchard hot chocolate. When a student comes by for a long conference, I offer them a hot beverage. The chocolate (I either mix it with half and half from my refrigerator or use a latte or cappuccino t-disc) is a huge hit. I have students who come back for more--one guy just could not believe it. He had never had hot chocolate that was not made with a powdered mix and he just did not know it could taste like that. This cup is rich, sweet, and with the half and half, incredibly creamy. If you need a "chocolate fix", this is one of the best. It helps soothe a flunked exam, a break-up with the boyfriend, a rejection letter from the first choice law school (to name a few times it has been used.) If you are a university adviser, never underestimate the power of--at least the offer of--a hot beverage or some candy to break the ice with a student. Many of them have never come to an office and been treated like a welcome guest--and an adult. It works wonders! Tassimo makes this very possible for my little office. One of the great things about owning a Braun Tassimo TA 1400 Hot Beverage System is that you do not have to brew coffee that no one will drink. Likewise Tassimo has assorted teas available from Braun 01318 Tassimo Twinings Earl Grey Tea Pods, 16 Pack, to Gevalia 01317 Twinings Chai Tea Latte for Tassimo Coffee and Beverage Makers to Gevalia 1549 8 T-Discs Twining Green Tea for Tassimo Brewing System. But it offers only one hot chocolate-Suchard.
Fortunately it is a very good chocolate that will be sure to please your kids and even you during late night chocolate attacks. We don't use as much hot chocolate as we do coffee and tea, but it is one Tassimo product I always keep in my cupboard.

My kids (Boy 13 & Girl 11) like Hot Chocolate / Hot Cocoa.
They have tried Powders / Syrups, Denny's, Starbucks, etc.
They both LOVE the Suchard Hot Chocolate.
My Son Straight Up, My Daughter with some Marshmallows.
I have also used it in coffee drinks. Aka Caffe Mocha.
Adding an Espresso works pretty good.
You can also hit the brew button to end the Brewing 1/2 way through and it will empty the Contents into the Mug, Then fill up the other 1/2 of the Mug with a Smaller Serve size Crema Coffee like the Mastro Lorenza Crema... Very Good stuff.
It will make a small mess on your pierce unit, so be sure to clean up after making one.

If you want excellent hot chocolate, you still need to make it yourself and use milk and high-quality chocolate. We've tried the Keurig with various single serve hot chocolate k-cups and the Bosch TAS4511UC Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Brewer, Silk Silver with the Gevalia Suchard T-Discs. The Tassimo version yields the best cup of chocolate.
Rather than using a chocolate powder like the Keurig version, the T-Disc uses syrup. It yields a richer, more satisfying cup. It is a bit sweet, but I like it. The main problem with the product is that it does not completely disperse in your cup. There is a fair amount of syrup at the bottom of your cup. You'll need to stir a few times to get all the syrup dissolved.
Overall, I recommend this product. In the future, I'd like to see several different versions released that are less sweet and maybe a version that combines a milk T-Disc to produce the beverage. Although not currently carried in the United States, I've been hearing good reviews of a Tassimo product using "Milka" chocolate from Germany which comes packaged with the shelf-stable milk to produce the hot chocolate.

The mechanics of the disc work great in the Tassimo machine. But, it's too sweet and tastes a little fakey to me. Will not replace my hot chocolate discs when I run out. Frankly, instant powdered hot cocoa tasted better to me than this!
Will keep my tassimo, as I love it, but will stick with making regular coffee, hot tea, mochas from an espresso & milk disc and a few squirts of hersheys syrup.
