The blades are stamped out of thin sheet metal. It will barely handle pecans, walnuts are a disaster, and anything harder is right out. The rotating tines will be bent to curl right around the crank shaft. It won't even chop chocolate "morsels"--the kind you use to make Toll House cookies. Spend your money on something else.
