This product is a little more diffucult to dirct light to for reading then a similar previous product. Also the outside housing gets much hotter then my last bed headboard lamp and I would not recommend it for young readers.Customer Review: Bad Experience

This item purchased from Promax Commerce through Amazon Marketplace was a total bust. The item did not function i.e. did not turn on or off, and was incomplete, i.e. the ring that goes inside the outer edge of the shade was missing. Attempts to reach the vendor were futile and the promise from Amazon to reverse the charge on my credit card proved hollow.
We subsequently purchased the item through Walmart and are completely satisfied with that unit.

This is a wonderful lamp. Compared to other bed lamps I've purchased, I like this one best. It can be easily adjusted to fit my head board. I can also change the angle of the light and dim the light if necessary. This lamp reminds me of a lamp I had years ago. The newer model lamps I've purchased had clamp on clips that damaged my wooden headboard. I'm really happy about buying this one. Thanks, Amazon!Customer Review: Dimmer Headboard Light

I was asked to write a review on this item once before and got a defensive e-mail response.
I don't want that again. I just think that the product needs to be made differently so the
consumer can tighten the lamp so it stays in place and thereby serves its' purpose.
I am stuck in the dark still. Or I can turn the light on and have it fall to face all the
way downward or all the way up, its' illumination pointed toward the ceiling.

Very adjustable up and down and side to side but won't hold any position but straigt down. Pretty much useless for reading. Great if you like highlighting your pillows. Grrrr.
