Customer Review: Selector knob stripped after only 5 months!

I bought the DHDSR (exactly the same). Selector knob is plastic and stripped (cracked) in the back after only 5 months use! Why make the most touched part out of cheap plastic? Door must be almost slammed to stay shut too. Drys clothes fine, but the knob issue had me furious. Right now, I swapped the "signal" knob as a quick fix. Still under warranty, thank goodness. Shame on GE for using plastic knobs!!!
