Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fusionbrands Poach Pods, Set of 2, GreenCustomer Review: Read the Instructions and These Work Perfectly! Summary: 5 StarsI love this product: perfect eggs every time, the pods can be set on the counter without eggs tipping out and they are cool when taken out of the water. My only suggestion is that if you are doing two or more at once, 4 minutes may not be quite long enough. I intend to get these for the gourmet cooks in my family!
Customer Review: Great multipurpose poacher and more Summary: 5 StarsGreat gadget! Not only can you poach perfect eggs, but you can use it to shape flan or a small cake and cook it right in the oven with this gadget!
Easy to use, easy to clean. Colorful and handy! Comes with easy instructions and I bought 4 and am very pleased with my purchase.
Customer Review: Fusionbrand Poach Pods Summary: 5 StarsI'm a first time egg poacher. Tried just doing it in water without anything and it did work, tried it in the microwave with this plastic thing, I got at Wal-Mart, couldn't get the yellow to do as I wanted. These pods are working best for me. I got my time down now and it turns out exactly the same every time. They are easy to use and easy to clean up, even if you forget to oil them first!!! It happens! The best way for me is to bring the water to a boil, put in the pods with the egg in them and wait till I see a white ring form, set timer to five minutes, turn fire down to a simmer, cover with lid. Buzzer goes off. I take them out by hand and dump them in my plate. Perfect every time. I like my yellow runny and the white done. That's the way they come out. Going to have to buy me two more, I like three eggs sometimes!
I recomend these to everyone.
Customer Review: Love it Summary: 5 StarsBuy these wonderful pods. I have used them several times for brunch and the poached eggs have come out perfect every time. The best part is that they are so easy to store and I do not have an extra pan I don't need taking up space. Just remember to oil the pods before using them.
Customer Review: Moderately useless for poaching Summary: 1 StarsOIL? Why would I use oil for poaching? Answer: I wouldn't. These are dreadful. First you add oil. Then, the eggs never touch water meaning the texture of the egg doesn't have that slippery cleanness that true poaching brings.
Speaking of clean, these are impossible to clean. Turning them inside out and scrubbing them by hand with a brush didn't do the trick. Forget the dishwasher unless you relish baked on egg.
Oh...and even with the oil, they stick to the silicone.
Verdict: Useless waste of money. However, if you tie strings to the holes and hang these from a tree, they make very cute bird feeders.
