Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fulcrum Multi Flex LED Book Light, BlueCustomer Review: Multi Flex LED Book Light Summary: 5 Stars
This product is great. I am able to be in total darkness, put on this light and see exactly what I am reading. Also great for outside reading and for clipping on to the book or page.
Customer Review: Nice little light Summary: 4 Stars
Bought it to clip onto my Kindle when reading in dim light. Shines plenty of light where you want it. Need to play with it a little not to get glare coming back off the Kindle screen. Once you get that angle down it is good to go and performs well.
Customer Review: Not the best in its class Summary: 3 Stars
I ordered this light by mistake. I had recently purchased a Mighty Bright that, somehow, ended up with my son after a while and I wanted another one for myself. I ordered this one because I didn't check which brand I ordered the first time around. Now, I'll have to live with the consequences of my mistake :)
I am trying to say something good about this book light and I am having some difficulty. Here's why:
- It's a one-LED light - my other book light has 2 and I can select one-LED or two-LEDs. This one, probably for cost-saving reasons, only has one - cheaper switch, I suppose. Two-LEDs would have been better. I know it is so because my son would NOT agree to a swap and he cites the 1-2 lights option that MightyBright offers.
- The flexible gooseneck is a bit weak. It can barely support the weight of the head and moving the book a little while reading usually causes the neck to bend in ways unwanted or to half-collapse.
- The neck is too short. Being as weak as it is, making it longer would have created more problems, I suppose. Being a little too short makes it difficult to keep the lamp's head far enough from the book so that all the page is lit.
- The (cheap) on-off switch is not 'easy' at all. It's a sliding switch and it's sometimes difficult to slide it. I hope it will last but I am not very confident that it will.
Now, that I've purchased this light and I tried it, it's not worth the time and hassle of returning it but, for the almost exact same price you could get a Mighty Bright that has 2 LEDs, better switch, stronger neck (it could be longer too).
Next time I buy a book light it's going to be a Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 LED Light but, for the time being, I will learn to live with this one.
Customer Review: Not very good Summary: 1 Stars
Great for reading if it will work. Switch is bad and light will not turn on and stay on without constant fussing. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.
Customer Review: Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a small light to attach to my treadmill so I could see the digital display in low lighting. I can twist the light to reflect where I need it and it clips on just fine. I'm sure it will come in handy for reading and project lighting too.
