This has been the best reading light we have seen so far! We have purchased several trying to find one that was durable and met our needs, and this one surpasses that. The neck has smooth action and the clip is very easy to use.

We have purchased many book lights over the years and so far these are the best. We purchased two and various members of the family are using them. The kids, ages 9 and 10 both love them. They are more eager to read in bed at night since the light provides a much wider, clearer light. The light bathes both pages well. This product is very light weight. It seems to be well made. It attaches onto the book and stays put. The flexible arm does its job. I would highly recommend this product. Though I've bought many products through Amazon, this is the first that I've provided a rating for. Who would have guessed of all the items I've purchased I'd be moved to rate a $10 light.
I previously purchased a Phorm Light Voyager Book Light. Though I like the Phorm light, it adds a noticeable weight to the book (noticeable on paperbacks especially) and for reasons I can't explain takes up to several minutes to actually come on when I first turn it on and towards the end of its life, as I shifted the light "arm" in certain positions it would "wink out".
After my first Phorm light lit its last book I decided to order another but I also decided for $10 to order the Multi Flex LED Book Light too.
When the new lights arrived I decided to start with the Multi Flex. I quickly noticed that the Multi Flex light provides superior light to the Phorm and as it is more directional, over spray light doesn't light up the room and disturb my wife's sleeping.
But what is most amazing is that I've not replaced the batteries I put in to this light since I first put the batteries in it more than two months ago! I use the light most every night sometimes for as little as 10 minutes, sometimes for as much as 45 minutes. Through more than two months use, the light STILL shines as brightly today as it did two months ago! How does it do that?
At less than half the price of the Phorm this light is a great value. If your shopping for a book light, this light is an absolute slam dunk!
UPDATE 01/04/08: The arm that holds the light has become significantly less rigid than it was when first purchased. It's now at the point that it barely holds itself in its position requiring frequent re-adjustments. I would have to now downgrade my original rating to 3.5 stars.

This was better than any other book light I've tried. Issues w/other lights have included: too heavy, poor light coverage, poor adjustability/flexibility, cheap construction, clips that break. This one is very bright w/good coverage over 2 pages. I even read a magazine w/it. Not overly heavy and well-made. Good quality clip. "Neck" is ultra-flexible/adjustable. Definitely recommend it, good bargain.
