Customer Review: Nonfunctional and no backup

I have a double hose unit so this product is a big comedown from mine. This single hose unit will turn itself off within a few hours in summer weather due to a full condensate tank. Mine did too until Fujitronic added a condensate pump to pump the water out the window.
I was pleased until the sump pump died and condensate covered the floor with water, probably two gallons soaked onto our expensive carpet.
Our attempts to get service are to no avail. Now we have an expensive boat anchor. The pump doesn't work and there is no service or advise available from Fujitronics. Attempts to communicate with the company - to get help or at least schematics - are to no avail. Fujitronics had a web page but no longer does. It had phones and offices but no longer lists an office address or phone numbers in the US.
The FA1350 sold here sucks cooled air that is in the room into the unit and uses it for cooling the compressor then pushes it out of the window through the single hose - clearly not too efficient since the replacement air flowing into the room is hot and has to be cooled. The hot air from the compressor is then blown out the window through the single hose after cooling the compressor. (This is chasing-its-tail-engineering design I believe.)
The two-hose model that I have did have possibilities - but never in the circumstances where there is no service, backup or assistance.
Maybe someone else will make a functionally similar model - with two hoses and an excess-condensate pump - and provide the necessary backup. That someone will make a lot of money.
Description of Fujitronic FA-1350 13,000-BTU Portable Air Conditioner
This 13,000btu, 3-in-1 system provides multi-season comfort. Designed to efficiently cool, dehumidify, air conditioner any space without permanent installation. Effectively improves air circulation in poorly ventilated spaces. Dual hose systems provide fast cooling. With one hose for air intake and the other for air exhaust, there is no negative pressure created inside the room. Self-Evaporating Technology - during the cooling process, water is extracted from the air into the unit. In Cool mode, most of this water is recycled and used to cool the cooling coils. This creates improved cooling efficiently without adding energy cost. The moisture is then pushed out with the exhaust air, leaving you a virtually no-drain unit. In extreme humid conditions, if condensation collects faster than the unit can evaporate, the excess water will collect in the built-in tank. When the tank becomes full, compressor will automatically shut-off and unit will indicate that drainage is needed. Note: Exhaust hose installation required (all standard accessories included).
