Customer Review: Amazing foam

I bought one of these units based on the great reviews. I've had it a week or so now (it took forever (7 days) to get here -- it wasn't available via Prime - ugh!)The foam is amazing -- it makes something very close to micro foam -- the thick creamy foam you get from a really good coffee shop.
As other reviewers have said, it is big -- I wish it could be smaller and a crisper design. It doesn't look good next to my sleek Nespresso. I have an Nespresso Aeroccino. It doesn't come close in foam -- design is another thing.
So I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The reason is noise. It is noisy -- I suspect it is the gearbox that it uses to rotate two paddles at different speeds. In the morning, it shatters the peace. I almost gravitate to the Aeroccino for the peace and quiet... almost. Can anyone say if the professional model is quieter? Dear designers -- if you are listening, many of us would pay more for a quieter, gentler (on our nerves) model. Perhaps helical gears?
I'm surprised at the complaints about cleanup. It comes apart easily and is easy to clean. It is a bit tight getting to the bottom of the pitcher to clean the milk off -- but no worse than the Aeroccino. You should immediately rinse it out after use -- otherwise you get a lot more milk baked on the bottom.

When I first turned the machine on it didn't operate, after a few "on and offs" it started and ran. It must have been tight gears or the such. After a month of operation the beaters run faster and I get more and lighter foam. I actually prefer the denser foam I got earlier. I'm a little peeved at customer service. I've not had good results adding flavoring so I entered a question on their website. I never received a response. The machine is good; I still like it for all its peculiarities. Still 4 stars.

This frother is incredibly simple. It whips the milk and heats it at the same time. It takes 2-3 minutes (the same time my coffee maker takes to make the coffee) and delivers exactly what it promises. Skim froths up too much so 2% is a better choice for coffee. The only problem I have is that the unit is a little loud when it's working, so it's probably not a good idea if you work in a library. Other than that this is an awesome product that I highly recommend. It's much more simple than other frothers and as such is less likely to break; it's also easy to clean.Customer Review: Best Frother Ever

This is the absolute best frother that exists on the market! I was first introduced to the Froth Au Lait by a friend, who was saying she had found the best way to make capuccinos. I was very skeptical, having tried and bought many appliances to make frothed milk, including the electric whip, hand pump frothers that then need to go into the microwave to heat the milk, etc. I really did not believe this friend knew what she was talking about.
One morning I went over to her house and asked her to show me this "amazing frother". I truly doubted I would be impressed. She quickly added the milk and pushed the button. I was absolutely amazed!!!! It was the best hot froth I had ever witnessed. I immediately went home and called Froth Au Lait to buy it.
I have had my Froth Au Lait for over 6 years, and am continually impressing friends when they come over for a cup of coffee. Friends get so excited to have frothed milk with their coffee. It is a terrific product.
I cannot recommend this product more highly. And I agree with a previous poster, the customer service is fabulous. They do not oversell. They ask you how you will be using the product and sell you the right model, even if that is the lowest end unit.
And, I haven't even mentioned the hot chocolate it makes. My kids love it! It truly meets the needs of the whole family!!!

I have been enjoying the Froth Au Lait for a month or so now and love the thickness of the froth it makes! My only complaint is that it is not big enough to make more than two small coffee mugs of deliciousness at a time, and often the froth spills over the top and down the sides of the machine, making a little mess to clean up. For two love bugs this is perfect but, for a family wanting frothy hot chocolate on a Saturday morning, you might want to head down to your local coffee shop, as this thing takes three minutes to make a cup or two.Customer Review: Best foam

I bought this on my husband's account to go with our Nespresso machine and it's terrific. Just be sure to rinse it out asap! For you expresso lovers - add your sugar, Baileys or whatever to it - following the directions and you will get perfect results. The foamed milk-skim is best, is long-lasting and is easier for those of us who don't want to deal with the 'wand or coffee experience' with our machines. Nice complement to our other coffee makers as well! Think it will handle other liquids beautifully as well!
