Customer Review: Cute but not entirely practical.

I bought this originally because i was enamored with the idea of an oven mitt that could also double as a puppet. As it was noted in other reviews the silicone is not very thick so I tested it on something that was not very hot before trying to take something out of the oven with it. I found that it was not very effective with foods that needed to be heated for a while and almost dropped one thing i was holding with it due to the heat. I did find however due to it's size, i have been able to use it very successfully for microwaved dishes at work and clean up if anything is spilled on it is a snap making it easy and fun to store at my desk. It is definitely better than paper towels for grabbing reheated items from the microwave (which I had been using) and always gets a smile when i bring it out. Though it is not the most versatile mitt and by no means should be your only mitt it has been a fun addition to my collection.
