Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of the Fred Dinnersaurs Fork and Spoon SetCustomer Review: Awesome set for dino-lovers & very well made, have owned for over 2 years!! Summary: 5 Stars
This fork & spoon set is so cool! I purchased it a little over 2 years ago for my 2 year old son when he was learning to use a "real" spoon & fork, not those plastic toddler ones. They worked out perfect for him because the spoon & fork mouth end is sized just right for little mouths, and the fork isn't too sharp, yet will poke food to pick up! The handles are silicone-like so they don't slip out of hands no matter how messy (imagine holding a spoon dipped in spaghetti sauce, it's not easy...but these make it easy thanks to the silicone handles!). As I stated, we have owned these for over 2 years and despite a few bite marks on the tails, they still look new! Some other reviewer stated they rusted in their dishwasher, but that hasn't happened to me at all (and our set has been through hundreds of dishwasher loads!). They are made extremely well...I see us getting many more years of use out of them...unlike other toddler silicone style spoons, I don't worry about the handle coming off of these. As you see in the picture, they have legs on them that serve 2 purposes, 1 being it keeps the mouth part of the utensil off of the table when set down, it also helps your little one learn the correct placement to hold the fork/spoon when eating as the legs kind of guide their hand into the right place and don't allow them to hold it any other way without it being really awkward. They fit my hands as well, but are a bit small for my husband to hold...so these are good for parent feedings if you want a comfortable spoon for an adult hand. All in all, I love this set and don't regret the purchase one bit!! Well made, helps kids learn to use a utensil correctly, and they are fun!!
