When one has boiled pasta the old-fashion way, this cooker is the best thing I have ever used.
Saved a lot of time, and following the directions, the pasta turned out perfect. No more stirring, watching and all those other time consuming steps and cleanup was a breeze. No need for other utensils or paraphernalia, I never thought it possible to make pasta a pleasure.
I'm glad the other reviews directed me to this Pasta cooker. Thanks everybody.

The Fasta Pasta is a great device. No pot and strainer to wash. Just pop the device on the top shelf of the dishwasher and it's perfectly clean. It's just my wife and me and we've been using the Fasta Pasta almost every night. We like whole wheat pasta but my wife likes linguine and I prefer small shells. So she has her linguine 3 nights a weeks and I have my shells 3 nights a week. I'll be trying some gnocchi this week. This is one of the few times that a device meets and even exceeds its advertised claims. I've recommended it to all of my friends and family.Customer Review: FAN-FAST-TASTIC!

I love this thing! I find that we have pasta and noodles more often due to the speed of cooking them in the microwave. Instead of dirtying my 5qt pot and my strainer...all I have to wash is this!
I find that it cooks the pasta perfectly w/o boiling it over. The design keeps it from boiling over so you will not get these results from just any old plastic oblong container. Also, I don't have to stand over the stove the whole time trying to prevent a boil-over; now, I can just put my pasta in the microwave and go sit down.
So far, I have cooked rigatoni, spaghetti, angel hair pasta and wide noodles---all whole wheat, by the way, and they all came out just right. Draining is a snap.
In the time you could have water on the stove heated to a rolling boil, your pasta is done in the microwave with this.
Another use...I buy bags of cut-up veggies such as carrots, etc. I soak and rinse them in cold water before I store them in my lock & locks and this is perfect for that. Makes draining very easy.

I found this fasta pasta microwave cooker makes my life so much easier. This is particularly convenient for me, since I make lasagna, and this cooks the noodles perfectly evenly every time, and because my family prefers more than one type of pasta when I serve pasta so I will cook one in the microwave and one on the stove. I have cooked angel hair, thin spaghetti, and regular spaghetti, and lasagna using the recommended times, and all of these come out perfect. The container also serves as a strainer, and clean up is easy. I won't ever want to be without this again :-)
