Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Fasta Pasta The Microwave CookerCustomer Review: Awesomeness Summary: 5 Stars
I never write reviews, but I've tried other methods of nuking noodles and this was incredible, got it in the mail today, threw the fettucine in the Fasta Pasta and in microwave for 13 minutes, tossed it with some marinara and parm, omigod! perfect! I usually hate microwave anything other than like lean cuisine or stuff, but this is great for pasta the way you like, sorry Mrs. Lovito!
Customer Review: BUY THIS !!! Summary: 5 Stars
This "fasta pasta" is a dream. High quality and the best cooking investment I have made. If you don't have this in your kitchen you are missing out. It's made in the USA...yippie !!! Cooks pasta PERFECT every single time.
Customer Review: Best Addition to Kitchen in Years Summary: 5 Stars
I bought one of these for myself a year ago. I have since bought an additional two for gifts. I use it several times a week. Living in Florida, it's so nice in the summer not having a pot of boiling water on the stove, heating up the kitchen to cook pasta.
Believe me, it not only works but actually does a better job than cooking pasta the regular way.
Love, love, love this product!!!!!!
Customer Review: Best Little Invention for all pasta Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this for about a year now, and I like it more and more each day. I've made all kinds of pasta for various dishes, salads and last night, I made lasagna noodles in it. I have to admit I was a bit worried that the lasagna noodles would stick. But, NO! After I rinsed them to make them cool to touch and work with, I realized they hadn't stuck to each other or break apart like boiling them usually does. I put in exactly the 9 that the recipe called for, and didn't have to piece them together. Most people would think this is only for the occasional cooker. Trust me it would work for that, but it works in a full time kitchen too. My opinion? It's the best 12 bucks I've spent in a long time. I'm seriously considering purchasing an extra one, because mine is always in the dishwasher.
Customer Review: Best Micro Pasta Cooker by far... Summary: 5 Stars
I bought my first Fasta Pasta cooker from QVC years ago when it first came out. I have been using it weekly ever since and haven't ever cooked pasta on the stove upon receiving it. The plastic has only lost it's clear, see-through quality yet it still has held up amazingly fine. I decided it was time for another just to see if anything had changed since my previous purchase. No, everything is still the exact same --- if it's not broke then it doesn't need fixing!
I come from an Italian family so we know our pasta/macaroni! I don't notice any rubbery texture like one reviewer mentioned, it has come out perfect every time. I have yet to overcook any type of macaroni. I've cooked everything from angel-hair to buccatini and it's been excellent each time.
My secret, but don't tell anyone... I've pushed cooking a whole pound of pasta in it. I was amazed that it cooked it without boil-over. I put in a pound of, say spaghetti, and filled up to the top lower edge of the lip...the part right above the 4 serving line...and nuked it for the required minutes for 4 servings...I even let the pasta sit in the microwave a few minutes longer while my sugo (sauce) finished up. I drained it (THE ONLY TIME YOU USE THE LID) and popped it into my large pan of sugo (sauce) and mixed it. DELISH... and feeds the whole family! <wink>
I've given it 5 stars because I can't give it more! Oh, I just hooked my sister up with one... she has been skeptical for years and wouldn't try it...now she has her own and LOVES IT! She can make a quick meal for her son when he's hungry and not stand around a hot pot stirring pasta just for him. PRICELESS!
