My Kenmore cold spot side-by-side refrigerator ice maker stopped working and my in-the-door water was leaking. It turns out my dual-solenoid (part# 2002182) was broken. As you may know, a solenoid is a valve that is shut by default and is opened up when an electric current is applied. Apparently, the valves would not close completely, and the tiny leak caused both problems. The replcement part, Whirlpool 4318046, worked just fine as a replacement. The price about $15 and about $7.5 shipping was the best I could find. (Tell your friends!) This particular part kit came with some extra adapters and hose in case you need to adjust anything. In my case, I didn't need any of the extra parts, but you may. The repair took less than 15 minutes, as I already had the old part removed.
