After my old yogurt maker of 25+ years bit the dust, I looked around locally and finally on the internet for a new one. I admit that all the brands seemed pretty similar, the only difference being price. Okay, so I went for the least expensive. But I'm glad I did.
I love this yogurt maker! The little jars fit right into my lunchbox (the old maker's jars were too big and I had to spoon yogurt into another container. The only thing I've found wrong with the Euro Cuisine is that the lids on the little jars don't seal very tightly. I found this out the first day when one leaked in my lunchbox. Now I put the jar in a zip-top bag first.
I've only made yogurt with a powdered starter, but the consistency is great! I've made yogurt in the past with both powdered starter and live yogurt with the same results, and I expect the same for the EuroCuisine. I did drain one of the jars and the result was a decent cream cheese-type product. You certainly can't beat 25 cent yogurt as apposed to 40-80 cent yogurt in the store. And there isn't any high-fructose crap to worry about - just pure yogurt.
All in all, a great machine!
