I was looking for a scale that was versatile I wanted to use it for baking as well as for weighing my own packages at home.
I sell here and there on Ebay and maybe Amazon soon too and printing my own labels at home is so much easier not to mention the post office & Ebay gives you a discount. Now I can take advantage of the free pick up USPS offers and make perfect bread too .
(Remember the weight limit is 11 pounds) I use a small flat board and press the tar button.
Great for bulk cooking or OAMC and weighing meat you want to freeze if you buy in large ammounts, just cover in plastic first.
Update- I am very impressed as I found yet another use for this. I buy gold as an investment and to wear and this scale measures accurately in both grams and ounces (grams are not fractional so it does round the number) . you can switch back and forth with the press of 1 button . Now I can always be sure I am getting what I pay for .

I have purchased this scale a year ago, but hadn't used it much until I started taking a baking class a few months ago. Due to its sturdy design without glass components, the scale is easy to transport, and I don't worry about spilling any of the ingredients on it, because it's easy to clean.
The functions are easy to use, and it's fast to tare, or switch from ounces to grams. Overall, great quality product for a very reasonable price.

I've had this scale for almost a year and it is awesome! I have no complaints. It is easy to use and accurate. The most common thing I use it for is measuring out snacks into single portions in individual baggies. It is a must-have for cooks, bakers, and portion-conscious people. I purchased this scale mainly to use for measuring two part RTV urethane rubber and various epoxies. It can be switched between ounces and grams plus it has a tare function. That way I can put the mixing container on the platform, zero the scale and then pour a certain amount of "Part A". I can then zero the scale again and add in the same amount of "Part B", etc. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this scale is more accurate than I had expected given it's low price. I think it would be tough to find a scale that would give a better value.
