I bought this scale after reading the great reviews on Amazon. It's nice to have the ounces and pounds/ounces options so you don't have to do the math. The one reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because when you turn it on, the scale has to read zero with nothing on it before you place a bowl on it and zero it out again. If you try to zero it with anything on it, an error message flashes on it. But as soon as you take the bowl off and zero it, then you can put the bowl back on and zero it to what you need- an easy but unnecessary extra step. Other than that, it's a good product.
