Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Bosch Part#462544 - Type G Replacement Vacuum Bag (BBZ51AFG2U) - Fits Bosch Compact Series and Formula Series Vacuums by EnviroCare Part#206 - 5/PackageCustomer Review: Just as good as OEM, but a hell of a lot cheaper!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I had won this little Bosch Compact Plus vacuum in a wood working contest and it came with all original Bosch bags and filters, the cleaner has some real power for its little size way more than I expected. But at first you could only buy replacement bags directly from Bosch, which you can imagine was very expensive. To remedy the cost I started buying off brand bags close in size but I had to cut the mounting tab down in size to make it close but it just didn't have the same suction. Then while searching Amazon for an un-related item I saw these bags so I ordered 5. I didn't realize until they came is that I had ordered 5 bags of 5, then the light went off. Instead of paying $25 for 5 bags I just paid $25 plus tax for 25 bags, not if they worked, I had just scored one heck of a deal. Yes they work, suction is just as good as OEM, they have the same seal shut opening when removing bag to throw it away. No dust comes through the bag and back into the room through the exhaust. So all in all these bags are great and well worth the money, and as you know with Amazon behind them they came real fast!!!
Customer Review: Perfectly fine alternative to Bosch bags Summary: 4 Stars
I have three dogs and that means I fill a bag pretty quickly, Bosch brand bags would be a small fortune in a yearly investment. These have been much more economical, and I haven't had any problem with my vacuum after 6 months of use. I remember people claiming that your vacuum suffers when you don't use name brand bags; honestly, I don't think my vacuum is such an elitist, as it still sucks--and that's what I'm looking for in a vac. The bags seem to be made totally of paper as I throw them in the composter after they are full and they have been composting fine. The bags made of microfiber have to be ripped open and dumped to compost--these are much easier and less messy. Green living people will be happy with that convenience. So I'd definitely recommend them; it's just hard to work up enough enthusiasm for a vacuum bag to say I 'love it' and give it 5-stars.
Customer Review: Why so expensive? Summary: 3 Stars
I bought the good set of vacuum bags from Amazon retailer last year. Cloth type for $5 per set of 5. Now what the heck? They are $20? I bought these cheap paper bags because none of the brick and mortar stores carry Bosch. Buy the way. Don't buy a Bosch vacuum. No bags, no service. Good vacuum but no service. as for these bags.... You get what you pay for.
Customer Review: not a very good fit Summary: 2 Stars
I tried these vacuum cleaner bags for my Bosch canister vacuum because they were so much cheaper than the real deal and thus worth a try. However, after I put one in, it became very difficult to close the lid. When it finally clicked and I turned the vacuum on, it made a high pitched noise. I don't think these bags will extend my vacuum's life time to say the least. I'm going back to using the real Bosch type G vacuum bags.
