Most of the other reviewers must have received a different model. My opener opens about 1 out of 10 bottles. It is always a surprise when a cork is actually removed.
With so many good manual openers on the market, why would one waste counterspace and money on this needless, inoperative gaget?
Get a Rabbitt instead.

This product is great. I have used it on both the traditional and plastic corks and have not had any problems at all with either. It did take me a few tries when I first received it to get the hang of it, but now I love it!Customer Review: Piece of Junk

My wine opener was only 6 months old and it died. I emailed Emerson and they said once the battery dies they ARE NOT replaceable. After only 6 months-come one! In the garbage it goes and I will not buy another one!Customer Review: Pleased

I had gotten this for my fiance, we both like to indulge in a glass of wine from time to time. we also try to get away when we can even if its just for the night, and we usually try to check out new wines when we are away if possible. when fully charged it is very handly to carry with us to use when needed. Easy to use and there is no strain pulling the cork out with your manual type cork screws, and no hassel to get the cork off the screw very easy to use and very satisfied with it.Customer Review: Quick and Easy

A "Consumer Reports" favorable rating convinced me to buy the product. Not disappointed. It takes about ten(10) seconds to uncork a wine bottle. Simply amazing. No one using a conventional method is that quick. The opener has a beautiful black matte finish and looks handsome in the kitchen. Also comes with a foil cutter discreetly hidden in the charging stand. A great wine opener you will not regret purchasing.
