I open literally hundreds of bottles of wine as the person who supports wine parties in several non-profit support organizations. I've gone through many types of wine openers in the past 5 years. This is the greatest! How come it took so long to get on the market? One of these also solved the opener problem at our theater intermission bar which is staffed with elderly personnel who didn't have the strength for many of the other types of openers.Customer Review: Great Buy

After you get the hang of it, it opens wine bottles without effort. The trick is to hold the bottle so it wont spin and use the bottom of the switch to pull the cork out and the top of the switch to extract the cork from the opener. Real neat product.Customer Review: Great idea. Breaks easily

Great idea.
Worked great for about 2 months, then just stopped working. This is the 2nd one to do this. I will not buy a 3rd. It seems to be made cheaply and thus, breaks under the strain.

Unfortunately, this little gizmo clogged up the first time we used it. We were opening a number of bottles of wine at a little get together when it just stopped working. The screw would go down, then stop. Thanks for our trustly old screwpull, which came to the rescue. After our friends left, I took a good hard look at the thing and there is a piece of cork way up inside the chamber. I let it sit on the counter for a couple of weeks, hoping that perhaps the cork would dry out and I could shake it loose. Nope. Back to the screwpull for me.
