Customer Review: works good but does not last long

I bought two of these 6 months ago and one just quit. So im on my second one as of today (the second one was bought for another room and was not used that often).
The unit did cool and i never had to empty the water tank.
It is still under warranty so im going to return it; but its pain as i had shipped to me and it weighs more than 70 pounds.
I will try and post back here in 6 months or so to let everyone know "if" the second one is still working.
Also, as i indicated in my previous review of another product, i dont think any of the portable air conditioners really meet there btu rating...add at least 50% "or more" btu for the area you need unless you are buying a dual hose product(i have not bought dual hose products and am relying on other comments on the web when referring to dual hose performance). This air conditioner did cool a lot better than my previous one; but it is not equivalent to a 12000 btu window unit.
I really wish consumer reports or some other third party would do testing on portable units so people like myself can be informed; the public reviews on the web are helpful; but also can be confusing in some ways.
