There's not much to say - if you own an espresso machine, you need this. Every time the machine boils water, any minerals fall out of solution - the harder your water the more minerals - resulting in sluggish performance as the heating element now has to heat through "stone". Used regularly, your machine will run as good as new, without the horrible smell and aftertastes of other decalcifiers, such as vinegar.Customer Review: Good Decalcifier!

We have very hard water so a decalcifier for our DeLonghi espresso machine is a must. I've never used anything other than the Durgol 0291 Swiss Espresso Special Decalcifier because there hasn't been a need to. After purchasing a Delonghi Magnifica 3300 superautomatic espresso machine, I decided to stock up on descaling solution. Prices seem to vary quite a bit without and real difference in quality or ease of use. This was the best price I could find online for descaler until I went to Williams Sonoma one day. There they sell a single bottle which has enough solution for two descaling runs for about half the price of this product. I will admit that having two bottles is easier when measuring out the correct amount of fluid but I wouldn't say it's worth another $6 or $7.
This is a very good product at a very good price but I'm cheap so I'm going to stick with the Delonghi branded solution from Williams Sonoma.

My home espresso machine had gotten so limed up I had scheduled a major repair. Before taking it over for the expensive work I decided to try a different deliming product. After ONE try it was working again perfectly. The powdered product wouldn't even touch it but this product worked great!Customer Review: Great decalcifier!

I love my home espresso machine! Every morning I make myself a mocha and ease into the day. Keeping my machine clean with the Durgol decalcifier has been easy and effective. Best of all, my mochas taste just the same after cleaning. My espresso maker is now two years old and still happily cranking out delicious mochas with cleanings every two or three months.
