Customer Review: Find the Root Cause.........

After years of wondering why my dog itched more than most, it was 2 fold: 1. low thyroid caused the yellow crusty skin itching between the toes and other creases so thyroid meds took care of that (this shampoo only temporarily took it away) until I found the root cause which was low thyroid. 2. chewing on his rear was a flea allergy even though I had to look for an hour to find even one flea, when they are allergic to fleas it only takes a couple to drive them crazy. However, my dogs immune system cannot take the direct toxic abuse of putting Advantage-type flea killers on him as it directly soaks into their bloodstream and makes them susceptible to so many other illnesses (intestinal problems, nerve problems etc). I tried and tried all-natural methods everything you could imagine (boric acid, clove oil, diatomaceous earth, oreganeo oil, etc) so I finally figured out that you have to kill the egg cycle with the least harmful chemicals put directly onto the dog: Use a flea shampoo on him first time only (Zodiac the one with pyrethrins that says kills eggs for 28 days), but before you shampoo him, spray his 3-4 areas of carpets/bedding that he lays on most with: (Zodiac Carpet/Upholstery Spray that says 7 month protection). Even though these products say they last long, you will have to re-shampoo in 10 days and re-spray in 6-8 weeks to break the cycle. Then you broke the egg cycle and to keep up use a natural shampoo from by Sentry called Natural Defense. You may have to do these things twice a year, but they work great and you're dog will be itch-less finally. Don't ever use Advantage-type flea killers on your dog they are linked to so many health problems.
