This shampoo is good for fungus (malacesia). It is an generic version of another one of Brand for the same use but with a higher price. If your problem with fungus is serious and you need a lot of shamppo and to bath the area of the fungus (only the affected area) frequently I suggested this one. You should not bath the rest of the pet that don't have any health problem frequently because it may cause skin problems in the long run.

Mal-A-Ket Shampoo (8 oz) by DermaPet, is a unique, pleasant-smelling, antifungal, antibacterial, deodorizing, degreasing shampoo. Contains 1% ketoconazole (antifungal) and 2% chlorhexidine (antimicrobial) with 2% acetic acid.Acetic acid potentiates and stabilizes the ketoconazole and has primary antimicrobial, antifungal properties, as well as excellent degreasing, cleansing and coat-conditioning qualities. This potent combination has a wider antibacterial activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive organisms. 1% ketoconazole and 2% chlorhexidine with 2% acetic acid Acetic acid (AA) potentiates and stabilizes the ketoconazole 2% AA has primary antimicrobial, antifungal properties, as well as excellent degreasing, cleansing and coat conditioning qualities.
