Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Debbie Meyer Green BagsCustomer Review: Flat, tidy and moisture free Summary: 4 Stars
My sister just called and said the longer bags (12 inches) were narrow and a little difficult to fill. She just cut one open, laid across the bottom of the vegetable bin and said it worked great. She said everything, including mushrooms stayed fresh for 9 days. This is a big deal in South Florida. I am ordering mine today. I am going to put down paper towels, then the green mesh. The same theory should work well for unrefridgerated items like tomatoes and bananas using a bowl with a paper towel and then drape the mesh over the top. Since moisture seems to be the culprit in the bad reviews, this technigue should help with that problem.Debbie Meyer's Green Bags Fruits & Vegetables (2Packs)
Customer Review: Follow the Directions Summary: 5 Stars
I'm wondering if those who've had poor results with the Green bag are following the directions. It seems the issue is moisture and, if you read the directions, you're not to close the bag tightly. This would, I should think allow the moisture out. I keep the bags loose and have had great results.
I also LOVE the bread bags. Now, these you DO close tightly. We had cinnamon buns three days after purchase that were as soft and fresh as they day they were baked.
Customer Review: Fruit keeps for over a month if you follow instructions! Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know what's been happening with all those folks who say these bags don't work...unless they're not following the instructions. Do NOT wash the fruit before you store it in the refrigerator. Only rinse the fruit just before consuming it. I've had cherries keep in an excellent condition for over 1 1/2 months; blueberries easily lasted 3 times as long as usual, and the same for apples. I don't refrigerate bananas, so I can't speak for how it works for them. These bags let me buy larger quatities on sale and have them keep in prime conditon until I finish them off. I love this product.

GREEN BAGS WASTE OF MONEY,,,SHARED WITH FRIENDS,EVERY ONE SAID SAME THING DO NOT HELP OR WORK Review: Good experience after more than a month of use Summary: 5 Stars
I buy a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and believe these bags do extend the life of most of the things I've used them for. I never keep things for long times, but for things that would start to turn bad in a few days, they will last a few days longer in these bags. I have had especially good experiences with melons and tomatoes and have found that lettuce and cilantro last twice as long.
