Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Debbie Meyer Green BagsCustomer Review: Debbie Meyer green bags work great! Summary: 5 Stars
TOTALLY AGREE, Important - moisture-condensation is the enemy. This is the key to longer veggie shelf life. These work great for almost all veggies. I've used these bags for over a year. Extends the life of veggies by minimum of 2 weeks. You can reuse these bags at least 10 times or more. Just wash and let dry, mark top with a magic marker to keep count. I don't have to go to the store as often. Love these!
Customer Review: Debbie Meyer is getting the green! Summary: 1 Stars
I was skeptical about these bags but a consumer guide reported that they did a far job on bananas. I figured that stretching the length of my banana was worth the cost... of the bags. I tried them and was not impressed my fruit seemed to sweat in the bags with moisture building up and rotting faster than when left out on the table top, or in the vegetable/fruit drawer in the fridge. I tried them again this time with a paper towel on the bottom same problem, but a little better. It seemed all the produce I tried I got the same results. High moisture foods like celery and lettuce seems to do best, but the bottom seemed a little on the gooey side. I like to use up my fruit and vegetables within three/four days of purchase, but I figured these bags might make it easier to stretch out shopping trips. Yet with all the produce I got similar results of excessive moisture buildup. I liked the idea of keep your produce fresher longer, but seeing all that water buildup in the bag makes me wonder about the bacteria buildup and how fresh can that be. I much rather purchase smaller amounts of produce, use it in a short time period and save my green bag money to buy an addition smaller batches of fruit and vegetables. And as far a my banana it seems to last longer with a bag wrapped around it, but only slightly. As far as I am concerned its not worth the cost.
Customer Review: Debbie Meyer's Green Bags Summary: 4 Stars
These bags definitely help to keep fruits and vegetables fresher longer. I go to the farmer's market every week or two and bring home quite a bit. I am not throwing away food like I was. So they are helping me to stretch my food budget.

I never fall for gimmicks, but I loved the idea behind this product, and saw it featured in one of my favorite magazines, so I took a chance. Well, I was taken. I've given this product a good month to work, on several different types of produce, and it just doesn't work. Don't waste you're money.
Customer Review: Defective Green Bags Summary: 2 Stars
I actually love the Debbie Meyer Green Bags, but I was unable to find them in several different stores. So I ordered them online. When I received them, the sides and bottom of the bags were not sealed. They were just sheets of green bags. I tried taping the sides & bottom together, but they do not keep things fresh for any longer than a week. I would like to have them replaced, but I didn't think it was worth the trouble. If anyone gets the urge to send a replacement, my address is
