Customer Review: Cracks the Hardest Native Pecans

Once you get the hang of it, this is the best nutcracker for cracking those hard-shelled Texas pecans. Ten times better than a hammer (what I was using before I got it), this cracker leaves the nut meat whole or in usable pieces rather than smashing it all to pulp.
It takes a little practice to get it just right, but then you can really go to work on a batch of the best nuts around.
I would like to have a setup so that the shells didn't fly all over, but that's really my only complaint.
If you're dealing with nuts with very, very hard shells, I recommend you get one of these. It will do the job!
