Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of DAZER II Ultrasonic Dog DeterrentCustomer Review: Did not work at all. Dogs ignored it. Summary: 1 Stars
I tried to use it as a training tool, but all 3 dogs in the house were unaffected with its use. It is truly awesome at training my sister when she comes over though.
Customer Review: Did not work for me Summary: 1 Stars
I tried the Dog Dazer II in the presence of a half dozen dogs including my own and it had very little effect on any of their behaviors. What prompted my purchase of this product was my neighbor's barking dog...if anything it only made him bark more.
Customer Review: Didn't really help Summary: 2 Stars
I tried this on 2 dogs--my neighbor's medium-sized dog, and my large dog. They are both less than two years old so should have excellent hearing. My dog does not appear to hear it at all, even from point-blank range. The neighbor's dog definitely heard it, and stopped barking momentarily, the first two or three times I used it on him, but since then doesn't noticeably react. A friend had very good results with the PetSafe birdhouse, which is what caused me to look at the sonic products, but I tried this one instead because it's much cheaper and it's portable. I think I'll break down and buy the birdhouse and see if it works better.
Customer Review: Didn't work Summary: 1 Stars
My dog shows little or no reaction to the Dazer, so it has been useless in trying to get him to bark less.
Customer Review: Didn't work as effectively as I thought it would. Summary: 2 Stars
This product certainly got the dog's attention, but it didn't stop them from barking or from doing the behavior that I wanted to correct. It only seemed to make the pit-bull next door to me bark more aggressively.
But the seller I purchased it from gladly accepted it back and refunded my money after trying it out for a week. I'd say give it a try--I do imagine it does work on some dogs...
