If you have agressive barking dogs, this is the device that will quiet them. I've lived with yappy weiner dogs for the last 3 months, could never enjoy my backyard with out several dogs coming to our backyard fence and barking at the top of their lungs. Saw the Dazer II and ordered immediately. Not knowing how it would work and receiving the item, went out and with device in my pocket, went out to greet the
group of yappy dogs. Once I hit the button, It was like something invisible got their attention. They immediately dispersed and ran back to their home. 10 minutes later, one of them came up to the fence, this time from a farther distance, and started to bark but not as frequently. Pressed the button a second time, and he dispersed and never returned.
What I found out is that the dogs now bark at the other neighbors and steer clear from my yard. Dogs that were in the yappy group that did not
bark were not affected. Don't waste any time if you want to get some
peace and quiet.

I couldn't believe that my daily pal appears here at Amazon.com. Surprised me indeed. I've had Dazer for more than a decade, and it did keep two unfriendly dog-leaders (there were another 13 dogs followed them inside the bushes of a hilltop) silent and away from me. By the way, many bikers have ever asked: "What's that?" while seeing it on my belt. It's my body guard.Customer Review: Dazer not so dazed

I came across a dog that attacked me as I was getting out of my car. I pointed the Dazer right at him and he stoped barking for about 4 seconds, then leaped at me. So I am not impressed with the dazer II.Customer Review: Dazer seems to work through thin apartment walls.

My neighbor recently acquired a small dog that would bark frequently and for extended periods when left home alone. When asked to do something about the noise, the neighbor insisted I must be mistaken since the dog is quiet when its owners are present. (Flawless logic.) Since the apartment manager was unwilling to do anything about the problem, I researched alternatives. The Dazer was suggested as a possible option since it can be used to train a dog not to bark, but doesn't hurt it; the device simply annoys the dog to much the same degree that the dog annoys me.
There was some question as to whether the device would work through the wall, but the walls here are not very sound-proof, which was a big part of the problem in the first place. I immediately found that the dog would quickly become quiet when I used the Dazer as suggested. Over a period of a couple weeks, I was able to train it to maintain a very welcome silence (except when someone comes right up and knocks on their door, but I figure it has a right to bark at that). The best part is that humans can't hear the Dazer in operation, so no one knows I was doing this except me. I'm very pleased with the results.

The Dog Dazer works as advertised. Best range is within 15 feet. Stops most dogs in their tracks or at least causes them to shy away and keep their distance. They are at least puzzeled by what's going on. Does not stop all dogs (advertisement told me this in advance). Is extremely effective on cats (don't test it when your house cat is around). After several days of use on the same dog, the dog becomes accustomed to the Dazer and starts to ignore it.
