This lil crock is the greatest I use it for hot dips,and to keep the gravy hot for a huge meal during the holidays. The only thing I wish it had was a temp control sometimes it gets to hot and I have to unplug it for a little while, but all in all its a great lil crock!!!!Customer Review: Major Disappointment

I bought the Rival 1.5 qt. Crockpot thinking it would be just right for my bachelor household. I couldn't have been more wrong. It's too small to make practically anything, particularly if you want leftovers. It has only one heat setting (supposedly low), and if you fill it up with soup, It takes forever. However, if you only fill it up halfway (e.g., kielbasa & saurkraut), it will burn it. There's no way I would leave this plugged in and leave the house. It has no handles, and the outside gets surprisingly hot. I'm waiting for a larger replacement, and from a different company. This was a major disappointment, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.Customer Review: Mixed feelings.

I am online buying a crockpot to replace this one. I have been using this for about 6 months, probably less than 10 times total. The lid handle fell off in the dishwasher, so I have to replace it. I do love the size for our small family (2 adults, 3 toddlers/preschoolers) as we do not usually eat leftovers. The size makes the perfect amount. However, as I am shopping for a replacement, I will not be getting this one. Why? Not only did it break with minimal use, but the lack of heat settings makes it less convenient than a crockpot that has a "low" and "keep warm" setting. There were times that I left it in a bit too long and it scorched the food on the edges. This would not have been the case if there were other settings. I was surprised that there are actually other, respectable, brands that have these features, and are actually cheaper. I will be going that route!Customer Review: Rival Crock-Pot

This crockpot is just the right size for my spouse and I. What I didn't like about it was that it has no on/off switch, and it cooks a little too hot. It says on the package that it cooks on the same low setting as the bigger ones, but I found that it was higher than that. My food did turn out OK, but it's a good thing I was home to check on it, or it would have burned!Customer Review: Serves its purpose

Great item! Serves it's purpose! Lack of temperature control. The manual indicates it heats on the equivalent as the "low" setting on a larger crockpot. I think it to be a little warmer than "low".
