i have a pretty large kitchen/dining/foyer floor that is laminate that looks like real wood. (ps- love my floor - no scratching, fading, denting, etc. that i had with hardwood at our old house). i also have two kids under 5 and a 70 lb dog. needless to say, my floor could be mopped everyday!! i have tried everything from standard mops to swiffer wet jet and always end up back at my old standard: murphy's oil soap in hot water and me washing by hand. this was doing the best job (clean without streaks) but it took forever and kills my back and knees. when i ordered this mop it was a last ditch effort. i LOVE this little gem. it is so easy to use. just pour in the water, plug in and go!! i don't use the lysol (comes w/ full size bottle) b/c it streaked a little and i don't think you need it - steam is the best sterilizer there is! my floor is large so i do have to move the plug a few times but it is no biggie. it glides smoothly over the floor, i can even push with one hand and talk on the phone!! it leaves the floor clean as a whistle and i am done in less than 1/2 the time!! wasn't sure if it would hurt my laminate but on the directions it said ok for everything but unsealed wood. i highly recommend this!!
