Customer Review: Can't take the heat

Used it once. Wanted to see what the grill temp was on high on my Weber gas grill, and the thing was toasted. Burned up the paint inside and made the glass completely black inside. All the paint inside flaked off and is now fills the unit like loose sand. When it cooled down, it was stuck at 225. If it weren't so cheap, I'd return it. But at around eight bucks, it hardly seems worth the effort.
