This item is exactly what it is supposed to be, an inexpensive canning pot. The metal is thin but that is normal for this sort of thing. The enamel stands up to a high flame with no damage (a really high flame, I bought a propane outdoor burner too). It cleans well and is big enough to do 7 quart jars. Plus I can store all my extra jars and stuff in it when I'm not using it!Customer Review: It is a big ole pot

Excellent for canning. I read the reviews for the rack. For me, it's not a big deal. I also use this in making homebrew. And like many others, we store all of our canning stuff in it when it is not in use. The pot is great, but has a repaired hole in it. Any minute I can expect a kitchen full of water.....I do not have the box so I can not send it back. Other than that It is great. The people who check the products are not.Customer Review: It worked great
