Customer Review: Very poorly designed

I remember reading a review that said their was no hole for the hook to go in - that was not true for the ones I recieved, so perhaps there are variations in the stock. Regardless, this is an awful product. The grommeted hole was placed in the center of a segment of clear plastic, and the design placement is poor at best. The top corners sag inwards (whether shoes are in those pockets or not) so if you door opens to a 90-degree angle with a wall, you suddenly have much less walking space. Also, after a few days and with the rack only half-full, the grommet tore right out of the plastic and the entire rack came crashing down onto my cat! (He's fine...he's deaf and was standing with his back to it, so he didn't know it was coming. Thankfully I didn't have any big heavy shoes in there.) Parhaps if you screw straight through the fabric along the top (making sure to get those sagging corners) you could get it to hang safely, but who really wants to do that? And I also must agree with an earlier review - these are extremely ugly. Not the light tan they appear in the picture, more of a cardboard-box-brown. I feel like the manufacturer would have to try very hard to make a shoe rack this ugly....
