This thing is garbage on a little metal stick. I bought it so I could review it before giving it as a gift. It's really hard to find egg poachers for people that refuse to cook with teflon or silicon. It would be great to find a good stainless steel poacher. And, I am still looking. This thing is barely big enough to hold the egg without spilling the whites everywhere. And the flimsy design makes it very awkward and impossible to handle. Go else where, or do what I did: Get good at free poaching by hand.
