I had been searching for 9 months for the perfect piece of functional furniture to add to our breakfast nook that could hold my wheat grinder, toaster, cook books, etc. I was looking for something not too deep (about 12") and very sturdy as wheat grinders are quite heavy. I stumbled across the floor model of this one at Target one night and was very impressed with how sturdy and attractive it was. The measurements place it at 14" deep - perfect. So we bought one. It was easy to put together - about 30 minutes. I use the bottom shelf for nothing yet - the middle shelf for cook books, the wine rack for bottled water, the cutting board for heavy small appliances, the top shelf for assorted mortars and pestals and the best part is that the back rack can be accessed from front or back if up against the counter so I have the hooks on the back over my counter and have my cups and small cast iron skillets hanging for easy access. The only down side is that I would like to have more hooks but can't find any that are inexpensive enough to purchase in quantity.
