Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Chef'n Pepper Ball, ClearCustomer Review: Throwing mine away Summary: 1 Stars
The pepper grinder is just terrible. Did they even bother testing it?
Even if you just want a bit of pepper, it is a chore. I got one of those cheapo throw-away grinders a few months ago, and have used that instead of the rabbit since then.
It has lasted for years though, but I've hated it the entire time.
I am throwing it away and getting the OXO (based on reviews).
Customer Review: Underwhelming! Summary: 2 Stars
This mill had some real issues:
1) It didn't hold its' grind setting very well
2) It didn't produce much ground pepper per squeeze, so it took a looooong time to get much from it.
3) After several months of use, the handle broke, making it a trash ornament.
Other than that, though, it was fine. :-(
Customer Review: Waste of time and money Summary: 2 Stars
Ours has stopped working in a matter of months.
Instead spend your money on a pepper mill with the Danish ceramic mechanism with a lifetime guarantee.
Customer Review: awful buy Summary: 1 Stars
brought this because I thought that it would be more efficient to use just one hand to grind pepper. Also it was cute. But I had it for less then 3 weeks and the handle broke off like another reviewer on her said. The handle is very flimsy because its made of plastic. So with the more use the more likely it will not with stand the pressure. So now I cannot even use it because one of the handle broke.
Customer Review: cute grinder, but be prepared to squeeze Summary: 4 Stars
This is a cute grinder that has a magnetic strip in the back so I can put it against the fridge and not take counter space. Design is cool. However, the inside is small so it doesn't hold many peppers, and refill is a bit of a hassle. Also, it only grinds a bit at a time so it takes a lot of squeezing for heavier spicing. I found it better suited for spices I only used occasionally and only a tiny bit at a time - say sichuan peppercorn. I'm going back to regular grinder for black pepper though.
